I use many techniques. I try to make learning fun through games, visual tools and things in our environment. To support learning, I use color-coding, videos, graphic organizers, comic strips, role-playing, prompting checklists, sticky notes, and assistive technology apps. Within the tutoring session, I provide a lot of structure to help each student learn skills in a step by step process. The specific strategies are transferrable to home and the classroom so a student can practice skills at a more independent level.
